We do NOT collect any personally identifiable information (PII).

The extension handles only local data:

• User Settings: Your preferences for output format (phonetic-only, letter-as-in, letter-for), voice selection, and speech rate are stored locally in your browser's storage. This data never leaves your device.
• Selected Text: When you use the context menu "Phonetic Spell" feature, the selected text is temporarily processed locally to generate the phonetic conversion. This text is not stored or transmitted anywhere.

How We Use Information

• Local Settings: Used solely to remember your preferences and provide a personalized experience within the extension.
• Text Processing: Selected text is processed locally in real-time to generate NATO phonetic alphabet conversions. No text data is stored or sent to external servers.

Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or transmit any data to third parties. All operations are performed locally within your browser. No network connections are made for data collection or transmission purposes.

Permissions

The extension requires minimal permissions to function:

• activeTab: Required to access selected text on the current webpage when using the context menu feature
• contextMenus: Required to add the "Phonetic Spell" option to the right-click context menu
• storage: Required to save your preferences locally in your browser

Security

All data processing occurs locally within your browser. No external servers are contacted, and no data is transmitted over the internet. Your privacy is protected by design.
